Eligibility Criteria 

Families who want to apply for the payment must meet the below mentioned standards to qualify for the Child Benefit Program:

1. Age- Children who are younger than 18 years old are entitled for the child benefit program.
2. Eligible people- Any individual who is taking care of a child be it their own child or an adopted child, they can claim the payment. If a child is adopted then they need to give a proof that they are not receiving any financial assistance from the local council for their child. 
3. One child, one person- Only one individual can claim this benefit per child. Even if there are two caretakers of a child, only one can receive the payment. 

Please note- Once a child crosses the age of 17, then they will no longer receive the payment.

The payment amount is given at the start of each month. If your child is under 16 years old, you can claim the payment of up to £20.70 for your first child. If you have more than one eligible child then the family will receive  £13.70 for other children.

3. Fill all the details in the form, including your personal and bank details. 
4. Then, attach all the necessary documents required in the application form.
5. At last, you will be asked for a declaration, select the option that applies to you and sign the document. 
6. Finally, submit the application after ensuring that all the information is accurate.

Offline Mode
